Partnering to Impact Eternity
Greetings in the strong name of Jesus! God has given our conference a vision of Partnering to Impact Eternity through local church revitalization, ministry to the poor, and church planting. I am keenly aware that we cannot accomplish these changes on our own. We must be in constant dependency upon God to see this happen for His glory. Prayer is the fuel that will keep us in step with the exciting plans that God has to expand His kingdom in the Pacific Northwest. It is imperative that we give ourselves to prayer. I believe that we need to have 1,000 committed prayer partners uniting their hearts in affirmation of this vision. Would you be one of these? Would you help spread the word and encourage people in your congregation to be part of this kingdom effort? I will be routing regular updates and specific prayer requests to these key people through Sharon Dennis, who has volunteered to be our contact coordinator. If you would like to be one of the 1,000, please get your name and contact information to Sharon Dennis at 360-795-3455 or sdennis@esd112.wednet.edu. We will also be providing prayer cards to each church in February. Thank you for partnering with us to impact eternity!

  Praises From Local Churches
Lakeside CF
Pastor Bob Legg and Pastor Shawn Roberts spent three weeks teaching Health/Teen Aid at Lake Stevens High School. The abstinence-based curriculum has allowed Pastor Bob and Pastor Shawn to work closely with the school administration in setting the direction of "Sex Education" for students. In addition, the two Lake Stevens middle schools have asked that Pastor Shawn and Joe Fox, our Junior High Director, assist with a heavy counseling load, further evidence of a positive relationship between the church and the Lake Stevens School District.

Rainier Avenue
God is at work in the Rainier Valley as Rainier Avenue Church juggles ministry growth, a building campaign and construction plans. People in the community are coming to wholeness in Jesus Christ through exciting revitalization of existing ministries such as Small Groups, 360 Youth Ministries, Children's Ministries- including a 5 day After School Club. Many are also being impacted through the development of new areas like Compassion Ministries; an outreach effort that seeks to meet the needs of people and encourage the development and growth of the whole person. Having added a second worship service in September, the multi-cultural church in the south sound is settling into a new rhythm of God-centered worship and ministry. God continues to pour out his blessings and surprises, and "shows us over and over that his timeline is different than ours" says Senior Pastor, Paul Olver. This was most recently evident as God orchestrated multiple miracles to enable Rainier Avenue Church to purchase a neighboring building for greater outreach opportunities in 2003 and into the future.
