Leadership Summit 2002

Partnering to Impact Eternity was the theme of the 107th Annual Conference.
God is calling the Pacific Northwest Conference to partner in new and exciting ways.  The first partnership is to strengthen our existing local churches. Conference assessment teams will be trained to come alongside churches that have been plateaued or declining.  Grant monies will be available to assist local congregations that have a specific plan of action. The Willow Creek Leadership Summit was designated as a key training event for PNWC lay leaders and pastors.  Our conference was able to provide significant funding to have each church represented at this event and to host a celebration banquet on Friday evening.  The second partnership encourages every church to have significant ministries to the poor and disenfranchised.  Some of our churches are already ministering in this important area but our prayer is that every church in our conference family will see this as a biblical and conference priority.  Grant monies will be available to churches that have a specific plan of action to reach out to the poor in significant ways.  The third new partnership is in church planting.  We want to plant new Free Methodist Churches in our conference. We are asking God's help for five new churches a year for the next five years.
