Our Mission Statement
The mission of the Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free Methodist Church is to create an environment that equips and supports the church and its leaders to minister and to multiply.

Our History
The Pacific Northwest Conference of the Free Methodist Church has its beginnings in the Oregon and Washington Territory Conference, organized in 1885. Societies were begun in Oregon and Washington and eventually in Idaho.

The Conference grew rapidly in its first nine years, with a membership gain of almost 800%.  But the societies were so widespread and transportation so difficult, that in the 10th year (1895) the decision was made to divide into three separate conferences: Washington, Oregon and Columbia River. The Washington Conference began with 183 members and 30 probationers.

In 1963, the Conference voted to change its name from Washington to Pacific Northwest. The new name better described a growing territory beyond Washington State, including parts of British Columbia and Alaska.

The Pacific Northwest Conference has experienced continued growth over the years and now, with 5,985 members. In 2004, PNW Conference had 47 churches. These reported a total of 4,999 adult members, average Sunday worship attendance of 8,243 and 1,077 conversions.
